David graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art with a BA (Hons) in Illustration and Printmaking. Since 1997 after a period of lecturing and working as a freelance illustrator, David has been extensively exhibiting as a fine artist. He is a regular exhibitor at the Royal Scottish Academy and has been honored by various awards from the Royal Glasgow Institute.
